ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Platform Engineer, you will be continuously improving the Belong Cloud Platform’s maturity, with an aim to efficiently design and implement secure solutions that will help establish a robust platform.

Key Responsibilities of the role are:
  • Work in an Agile Framework to design & develop capabilities to uplift platform maturity across key pillars like Deployment/Pipeline Management, Monitoring, Log Management, Security & Compliance, Cloud Infrastructure Management and Cost-Optimisation.
  • Partner with the Product Development teams by providing architectural recommendations for key projects that utilize Cloud features and infrastructure.
  • Partner with the Security team and ensure all solutions follow the Security principles and best practices.
  • Partner with Operations teams working on production environments, monitoring, data collection and configuration management, as well as disaster recovery planning, capacity engineering, reliability improvement initiatives and platform automation.
  • Collaborate with team to create data driven DevOps, involved in measurement and analysis of high-visibility metrics to enable a proactive approach to issues.
  • Keep abreast of new technologies, best practices, and trends related to special projects; make recommendations and oversee incorporation as appropriately.
  • Challenge the norm when needed and approach solutions with an open mind.
  • Communicate The good, the bad and the ugly. Always give it and receive it with the best intent of getting the right outcome for our customers, employees & partners.
  • Never walks past a problem – raise it, fix it, own it!
The Platform Engineering team plays a key role in operating and managing the Cloud infrastructure that powers Belong’s large scale systems on leading edge SaaS, PaaS and iPaaS platforms. The team drives various initiatives to help optimise public cloud usage that directly impacts the company’s business metrics.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for:
  • A systematic and logical approach to troubleshooting and solving problems.
  • A desire to automate everything!
  • Ability to explain complex situations using excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to create and demonstrate technical use-cases and influence stakeholders.
  • Advocacy on DevOps best practices and architectural patterns.
An ideal candidate for this role will have good experience on:
  • Systems administration, cloud governance, cost optimisation in AWS.
  • Cloud networking, security & cost-optimization practices.
  • Cloud identity processes and management.
  • Infrastructure as Code tools like Cloudformation, Terraform.
  • Source control (git), CI/CD tools and pipelines, automation using Jenkins or similar tools.
  • Containers and container orchestration platforms like EKS.
  • Use of enterprise grade monitoring and logging solutions.
  • Scripting in Bash, Python, Go or similar tools.
Desired:
  • Tertiary qualification in IT/Computer Science or related discipline
  • AWS certification
